In a lot of places diversity and racial equality has been a big topic of discussion and F1 is no exception, although we start off talking about something that didn’t actually happen.

Lewis Hamilton has launched a The Hamilton Commission in a partnership with the Royal Academy of Engineering to promote diversity in every level of motorsport.

Bernie Ecclestone had his own comments to add to the discussion on racial equality - and many would say that they weren’t constructive. Formula 1’s response was that they used to know a Bernie Ecclestone but they don’t talk to him anymore… Oh and they’ve launched their own effort to promote diversity in the sport.

Some drivers took a knee before the race on Sunday - but not all, and Daniel Ricciardo explained why not every driver was comfortable with the gesture.

Haas says that until they know how long the season is going to be they can’t decide on what their upgrade schedule will look like… And the team hasn’t been sold….
