As with every where else in the world - this last week was a whirlwind for the entire motorsports world.
For now, most series have suspended until at least the end of April with many not expected to resume until May. Several series waited until the very last minute to wait until they made their calls, with Formula 1 not reacting until just two hours before the start of Free Practice 1 in Australia.
Because it’s Formula 1 - the decision to cancel the Australian Grand Prix wasn’t drama free - and we now have a deeper understanding of what was going on in the 12 hours between McLaren’s withdrawal from the event and the official cancellation of the event.
Oh - and F1 has a new commercial agreement with Saudi Aramco and Renault has a new title sponsor…..
